Sana Adil (Project Manager)
I am from Pakistan, As a student QAMS give the opportunities to let me in and my time with the Queensland Association Community Services Organization has been a rewarding experience, I work as a project manager for multicultural festival which I organize with my team mates, as I was able to actively participate in their initiatives and see the impact they make in the community; being involved gave me the chance to connect with diverse groups, contribute to meaningful projects, and feel part of a supportive environment where every individual is valued, and I truly admire their commitment to empowering people and strengthening community bonds. I learned practically how to do critical thinking, problem solving skills and community engagement skills in real life. In short, I learn a lot during my placement hours. In my language we say,
"ہر سفر ایک درس ہے، ہر منزل ایک نیا سبق۔"
which means
"Every journey is a lesson, every destination a new chapter."
Sauharda Aryal (Logistics Manager)
Hey, I am Sauharda Aryal, I am from Nepal and I am interning with QAMS. During my placement, I developed a range of skills essential to community services. I strengthened my communication and interpersonal abilities through regular engagement with clients, volunteers, and stakeholders. I gained practical experience in event coordination, logistics, and service delivery by assisting with community programs, food distribution, and outreach activities. I also improved my problem‑solving, adaptability, and time‑management skills while working in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment. These skills directly support effective community service work, where professionalism, empathy, and organised service delivery are critical to meeting diverse community needs.
